Joe and Kasey are both teachers in the Westside school district where they work with kids and their parents on a daily basis. They both have a heart for children and families in our community that are broken and in need of assistance. Their hope in helping to start Project Community is that it becomes a central hub to help families in various situations get back on their feet with love and support instead of judgment.
Joe serves on the Project Community board as the Treasurer as well as serving on the Coal Hill City Council. They include their two sons in volunteering in the community in various ways. They spend time gathering and packing food for the Westside Backpack program, walking dogs at Needy Paws, and raising money for Wreaths Across America to honor veterans.
In their free time, they enjoy spending time with extended family, watching their boys play whatever sport is in season, and taking their dogs on adventures around Coal Hill and in the bottoms. They also enjoy visiting Silver Dollar City, Magic Springs, and many other memory-making locations with friends and family.
